Step by step
Create your account
Sign up with your email. No credit card needed to start. Your profile becomes the foundation of your AI avatar — your name, your story.
Record your voice & stories
Open the Record tab. Choose a topic — childhood, values, career, family — and just talk. Keylore transcribes and embeds every word so your avatar can recall it conversationally. Upload old letters or documents too.
Lock your secrets in the vault
Create a master vault password (write it down — we cannot recover it). Add passwords, crypto seed phrases, bank details, account lists. Everything is encrypted in your browser before it leaves your device. We never see the plaintext.
Write your playbooks
Pre-author guidance for every life event: financial crisis, estate & legal, crypto recovery, grief support, guidance for children. Pick a scenario, write what you'd say, set a summary. Your avatar delivers it personally when the time comes.
Add trusted contacts
Invite your spouse, children, lawyer, or executor. Set their role and what they can access. For vault access, set personal verification questions — only they would know the answers. Pro tip: record your vault password hint inside a memory, then make the Q&A question only they could answer. Your avatar reveals the memory after verification — recovering the vault password even if it was never written down anywhere.

You send it manually, or a smart trigger sends it automatically. The link works in any browser — no account required.
They meet your avatar
Your AI avatar introduces itself and explains what's about to happen. It speaks in your voice, uses your name, and reflects your personality.
Identity verification
The avatar asks your personal questions conversationally. "What was our first pet's name?" Only someone who truly knew you can answer. Wrong answers = no access.
Access granted
Once verified, they can read your playbooks, talk to your avatar, and unlock your vault (with the master password you shared separately). Everything you intended, nothing more.

"Will it actually work when I'm gone?"
The most important question. Here's exactly what happens.
What if Keylore shuts down?
Your encrypted vault export is a self-contained file readable with open-source tools. We give 90 days notice. Your recordings live in Supabase — you can point to your own storage bucket. The decryption algorithm is documented publicly.
What if the AI company (Anthropic) changes?
The avatar's intelligence is modular. Claude powers it today — but the architecture supports any LLM. Your memories, stories, and playbooks are yours, stored in your account, not tied to any AI provider.
What if my trusted contact loses the invite link?
As long as your account is active (or maintained by your executor), a new invite link can be generated. Links are token-based — a new token is issued per invite request.
What if I stop paying the monthly fee?
Your data is preserved for 12 months after last payment. You (or your executor) can download an encrypted export at any time. After 12 months of non-payment with no contact, we notify your designated emergency contact before any deletion.
What about the dead man's switch — what if it triggers by accident?
Keylore sends you check-in notifications before any auto-trigger fires. You can dismiss them with a single tap. You also set the inactivity window yourself — 30 days minimum. Accidental triggers that are caught early can be cancelled before contacts receive invites.
